Belisama Tradition – Metal lace female bust sculpture
With this metal female bust sculpture, I wanted to explore the balance between the solidity of the structure and the artistic momentum of the material.
Steel as the foundation of the sculpture
In Belisama Tradition, steel plays the role of foundation. It forms the base, the feet, and the invisible architecture of the sculpture. It is what supports the structure and gives the bust its stability, verticality, and anchoring in space.
This presence of steel evokes strength and permanence. The material unfolds like a metallic skeleton, an almost organic framework that recalls the roots of a tree or the structure of a body. In this work, steel is the memory of the metal, the solid and essential part of the sculpture.
Bronze as an artistic breath
Facing this solid base, the bronze becomes the major artistic element of the sculpture. It appears as a living material unfolding around the bust, highlighting the body's lines and revealing the movement of the form.
Its warm reflections contrast with the sobriety of the steel. The bronze acts like a light resting on the structure, an almost painterly presence in the metallic lace. In Belisama Tradition, the sculpture becomes a dialogue between two forces: the steel that supports and the bronze that expresses.
