Heart 3-25: The Setting of Fragility and Tenderness
With this work, I wanted to move away from raw strength to explore the most subtle feelings. This sculpture is an ode to fragility and tenderness, those delicate emotions that form the very heart of our humanity. Shaped like precious lace, it does not seek to impose itself by its mass, but by its lightness, evoking the delicacy of a budding feeling or the softness of a deep bond.
The metal mesh, created by drop-by-drop fusion (dripping), produces an almost diaphanous transparency. Light passes through the walls of steel and bronze, revealing an empty and peaceful interior. This sculpture reminds us that the heart is an organ of glass and iron: solid in its existence, but infinitely delicate in what it carries.
