Chanel Bottle 48-25: The Essence of Luxury and the Poetry of a Jewel-Bottle
With this sculpture, I wanted to pay tribute to the ultimate icon of perfumery: the Chanel No. 5 bottle. More than a simple representation, this work alludes to the timeless beauty and the invisible world of perfume. The structure, shaped in an airy metal lace, hints at the geometric and famous lines of the original bottle, while enhancing them through the transparency and preciousness of the materials.
The emblematic symbol, a true jewel-logo, becomes the focal point of the work here. Crafted with gold gilding, it brings a solar brilliance that contrasts with the delicacy of the steel lace. The dripping technique freezes the metal in an organic movement, evoking the fluidity of the fragrance and the luxury of a collectible object. This piece from the Intimate range is a celebration of French refinement, a sculptural jewel that captures the eternal elegance of the house of Chanel.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
What is the inspiration behind this bottle sculpture? The work is an artistic interpretation of the famous Chanel No. 5 perfume bottle. It explores themes of beauty, luxury, and iconic elegance by transforming an everyday object into a jewel-sculpture made of metal lace.
How is the gilding on the emblem made? The logo is highlighted by pure gold gilding (gold leaf or hand gilding depending on the piece), which gives it this precious and enduring shine. This emphasizes the luxurious and exclusive nature of this unique piece.
Is the sculpture made from a mold? No, absolutely not. The metal lace is created by drip fusion (dripping). Each drop of steel is manually placed to form the structure, ensuring that no other sculpture will ever be identical to this one.
Is this a signed work? Yes, each sculpture is an original piece signed by Philippe Buil. It comes with a certificate of authenticity attesting to its artisanal origin and its status as a unique collectible piece.
How should this gilded sculpture be maintained? The steel and gilding are protected to last over time. A simple dusting with a very soft brush is enough to preserve the transparency of the lace and the shine of the gold. It is not recommended to use abrasive cleaning products.
