Fleur 39-23: The Sun and the Moon, a celestial dialogue in metal
With this sculpture, I wanted to transcend the simple floral representation to explore the duality of the celestial bodies. This pair of flowers in metal lace is designed as an allegory of the Sun and the Moon meeting in the sky. One radiates with the warm glow of bronze, the other asserts itself in the lunar sobriety of steel. It is a reflection on existence: two entities that can exist independently, yet together form a complementary and inseparable whole.
The drip fusion technique creates a striking visual contrast between the two corollas. The stems rise with graphic elegance, bearing openwork petals where light flows like a breath of life. This piece from the Intimate range celebrates the balance of opposites — day and night, warmth and clarity — bringing a poetic presence and universal harmony to your interior.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
Why compare these flowers to the Sun and the Moon? It is the complementarity of the metals that suggests this symbolism. Bronze evokes solar power and golden light, while raw steel recalls the silvery softness and mystery of the moon. Together, they illustrate the perfect balance between two opposing forces.
How is the complementarity visually expressed? The two flowers share the same metal lace technique but differ in their reflections. They are arranged so that their silhouettes respond to each other, creating a movement of dialogue and mutual attraction in space.
What is special about the steel and bronze lace on this piece? The lace is worked to be as airy as possible. By removing material, I let light become the third component of the sculpture. It is this transparency that allows the two flowers to "shine" without overshadowing each other.
Is this a unique work? Yes, absolutely. Each pair is an original creation made freehand in my studio. Since I use no molds, the mesh of each petal and the tilt of each stem are the result of a unique creative moment. The piece is signed and certified.
How should this pair of flowers be maintained? An invisible professional varnish protects the metals. Simple regular dusting with a soft-bristle brush is enough to preserve the bronze’s shine and the steel’s delicacy, making sure to clean between the lace’s gaps.
