Fleur 55-25: The Eternity of a Metal and Light Corolla
With this "Fleur," I explored the paradox of life: the power of nature nestled in an apparent fragility. This sculpture is not a simple botanical reproduction; it is the very essence of blooming. By working steel and bronze into lace, I wanted to freeze that moment of grace when the petals open, vulnerable to the slightest breath, while giving them the permanence of fused metal.
The base, slender and taut, supports an openwork corolla where light flows like sap through plant fibers. The bronze, applied by manual fusion, edges the petals, bringing a solar warmth that seems to make the structure vibrate. It is a piece from the Intime collection that invites contemplation of detail, a tribute to the delicate beauty of gardens that never fade.

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
How do you express "fragility" with materials as hard as steel and bronze? That is the whole challenge of dripping (drop-by-drop fusion). By creating an extremely open mesh, I remove the visual mass of the metal. The flower then seems so light it could fly away, while its atomic structure is, on the contrary, very solid and durable.
What metals are used for this flower? The main structure is steel for its strength and fine lines. Bronze is used as a finish on the petals for its golden reflections and nobility, evoking the organic richness of a rare flower.
What is the size of this sculpture? Belonging to the Intime collection, this flower is designed to fit harmoniously on a desk, shelf, or console. Its presence is subtle: it does not impose itself, it reveals itself through the play of shadows and light.
Is this a unique piece? Yes, absolutely. Each flower is "raised" manually in my workshop. The path of the molten metal being impossible to reproduce identically, piece 55-25 is an original and signed creation, delivered with its certificate of authenticity.
How do you care for this delicate sculpture? Despite its lace-like appearance, the work is protected by an invisible professional varnish. A simple regular dusting with a soft-bristle brush is enough to preserve the clarity of its metal lace and the shine of the bronze.
