With Pavarti – Éclosion, I wanted to create a sculpture of a female body in metal where the material seems to emerge from emptiness and transform under the light.
An organic sculpture between strength and fragility
In this work, I explore the encounter between the female body, nature, and metallic material. Pavarti – Éclosion takes the form of an openwork silhouette, almost vegetal, shaped in steel and bronze using my metal lace technique. Each opening lets light through and creates a different vibration depending on the viewing angle.
I like the idea that this sculpture can evoke several interpretations at once: a body in transformation, a living bark, a mineral structure, or even an inner birth. This visual ambiguity is an integral part of my work. I seek to give metal a sense of movement and breathing, despite its power and density.
A collectible work signed Philippe Buil
This sculpture belongs to my range Œuvres de Collection as well as the Collection Corps Petite Taille. Each piece is handcrafted in my studio, with meticulous work on fusion, texture, and balance. The dialogue between steel and bronze brings warm and organic nuances to the work that evolve with the light.
With Pavarti – Éclosion, I want to offer an intimate and contemporary work, capable of finding its place in a modern interior as well as in a unique art collection. This sculpture plays with emptiness as much as with material, creating a light, almost airy presence, while maintaining a strong sculptural identity.
