With this sculpture of a female body in metal lace, I wanted to capture a moment of uncertainty, a fragile balance between appearance and disappearance.
A body in suspension, between presence and doubt
In Pavarti Incertitude, the female body is not fully asserted. It appears, builds itself, then seems to dissolve in places. The form is never completely fixed; it remains tense, as if hesitating to stabilize.
This uncertainty gives the sculpture a very human dimension. The body is not a certainty, but a passage, a state in becoming. It does not impose itself; it searches for itself.
The gaze moves without ever settling definitively. It follows lines, then loses them, like a thought in motion.
Steel and brass: a fragile writing in the material
The sculpture is made of metal lace, by drop-by-drop fusion of the steel. The brass is inscribed there in brighter lines, almost like an inner tracing.
These golden lines do not fully structure the form; they suggest it. They appear as unstable markers, possible axes, but never definitive.
The steel builds a base, a presence. The brass, brighter, introduces a vibration, a hesitation. It does not assert itself but rather slightly disturbs the reading.
Light plays an essential role: it catches the brass, then gets lost in the steel lace. The sculpture then becomes a moving space, where nothing is completely fixed.
The whole creates a delicate, almost inner work, where the material itself seems permeated by doubt.
