This rose quartz sculpture was born from my desire to make the raw strength of metal and the luminous softness of the stone converse.
In this creation, I wanted to let the metal unfold like a living material. The steel lace spreads around the stone, rises, tears, and transforms into an almost organic movement.
At the center of this black, textured structure appears a rose quartz, polished by nature. Its softness contrasts with the energy of the metal. I love this meeting of two opposing materials: the roughness of steel and the mineral purity of the stone.
Rose quartz captures light and radiates a calm presence. It seems protected, almost carried by the surrounding metal structure.
In my work, metal lace is always a way to reveal emptiness, let light pass through, and create a dialogue between material and space.
With this sculpture, I wanted to create a balance: a tension between strength and fragility, between darkness and light, between movement and silence.
Every viewing angle tells a different story, and the stone becomes the sensitive heart of the sculpture.
