With this work, I wanted to pay tribute to the primordial element that makes up the majority of our planet and ourselves. This sculpture embodies the symbol of water, that fluid and untamable force that nourishes a vast part of the living world. By freezing this movement of waves and flow in metal, I sought to capture the very essence of life: a perpetual circulation, both gentle and powerful, capable of sculpting rock as well as nourishing the earth.
The combination of steel and bronze, worked in dripping (drop-by-drop fusion), visually recreates the dynamics of the liquid element. The metal lace lets light pass through just as the sun penetrates the surface of a current.
