With this steel artwork, I wanted to pay tribute to an aesthetic dear to me, that of Bernard Buffet's clowns. It features sharp lines, vertical strokes, and an expression that is both graphic and profound. The "Basque Dog" stands here as an emblematic figure, captured in a metallic lace where each drop of fused steel outlines a clear contour and a unique presence.
The piece plays on a striking contrast: the robust and almost austere structure of the dog, typical of this Buffet inspiration, is balanced by the lightness of the organic lace surrounding it.
